6 Humane Ways to Stop Garden Pests

Although it would be a great relief for us gardeners to eliminate the pest in our garden, some methods are really not comforting among us. In line with this, Gardenista posted an article at Care2.com about humane ways to stop garden pest.

First method is fencing method which will protect you garden from rabbits and other four-legged plant eaters. It is also suggested to plant crops with strong odor and taste that these animals hate. Plants like garlic, onion and pepper are best examples of these. Third, some gardeners find spreading hair of human, dog or cat will surely keep these pests away. Another way is keeping a domestic pets with you. They will scare those pets away from your garden. You may also lure them with non-garden food enticements. If they find that your garden don’t offer them food, they will look to another garden. Lastly, you can try other natural repellents to scare them off.
