We do this in the winter so we can have some herbs all year long. In the summer we plant plenty of herbs outdoors. What we do is blend up basil for example, with garlic and parsley, olive oil then put them in icecube or muffin tins to freeze, pop them out and into a ziploc or container to use all through the winter.
